Antique J.B. Owens Pottery Art Nouveau Jardinere
Beautiful antique art pottery heavy piece made by Owens.  Measures almost 7" tall and approx. 9 3/4" in diameter at its widest spot.
Incised on the bottom, "J.B. OWENS, ART NOUVEAU" and then numbers that look like "1905"
The background color is brown and dark green with swirl design borders in a mustard yellow color.
The glaze is a clear shiny gloss glaze, which has evenly crazed all over.  There is some discoloration on the inside bottom to the crazing (see photos).
There are three spots along the outside rim that have lost the glaze and somebody, probably a very long time ago, covered the 3 spots up with dark green paint (see photos).  The first glaze pop is small, approx. 1/4" in diameter, the second spot is larger, approx. 1/2" in diameter, and the 3rd spot is small, approx. 1/4" in diameter.
There are a few small spots where the background color (not the glaze) is off or missing, the largest of which is a spot about 1/8" in diameter at the bottom (see photos)
There also is a glaze roughness of bubbles on the underside of the top lip(see photo) which feel gritty to the touch but can't be seen unless the pot is upside down.
Having laid out all the factory imperfections, this piece has no further damage, no cracks, no repairs, and no chips.
