Description
This Owens Matte Utopian vase stands proudly at 13" high by 6.75" in diameter.  It has a classic form, number 1068, with a large bulb-shaped base.  This vase is glazed in Owens signature Matte Utopian glaze in soft apricot/brown tones, in a brushed matt finish.  It was hand painted by Harry Larzalere, whose initials are noted on the lower backside.  He decorated this vase with Poppy blossoms and leaves, in a soft paste slip, which is very tactile to the touch.  This vase is marked Owens on the base along with its shape number.  It is in factory mint condition, with the usual marks from handling over the years.
