    Description

    For sale is a James Avery tie tack or lapel pin. This very unusual piece features a highly detailed (though not entirely accurate) French horn. This particular design was made in the 1990s, did not sell well from what I gather, and has been retired for a very long time. It was made as a charm, and I guess as a tie tack but I have never seen this tie tack before and I've seen the charm only once in 15 years of dealing jewelry in Texas. The piece measures roughly 5/8" wide. It is in vintage condition with some minor signs of use, no major damage or abuse. The piece is signed AVERY STER on the back. Note that I did give it a light polish, but will try to get more of this tarnish off before shipment. An Avery store could clean it up but I'm afraid they would do so too much and remove most of the important black finish to the corners and other parts. It would be an excellent addition to ANY collection!
